Kings win Game 4!
(Imagine that’s a photo of Dustin Brown surfing near Manhattan Beach and tossing a shark out of the way)
If the momentum began to shift in Game 3, the tide certainly changed by Game 4, as the Kings won their first game. It was really no looking back, for the series or for the rest of the playoffs. Jonathan Quick regained his championship form, the forward lines were set as That 70s Line emerged as a dynamic threat, and the defense finally remembered how to play defense.
What a difference from April 23 to April 25, as our text thread below shows.
And for today’s link, we turn to a font of Kings information: Jewels From The Crown, which provided an excellent Game 4 Recap and in general churn out terrific stuff before, during, and after each game.
Are you going Thursday? Can you bear to still watch?
Nope and not sure. I may just play NHL ’14 for Xbox and follow the game online. Last night’s game took too much out of me. You?
Assume the worst: in the off season, do you
a) trade Dustin Brown,
b) buy out Mike Richards,
c) do both, or
d) do neither/nothing
Sigh. Let’s wait till the offseason to have that discussion. We aren’t out of it yet.
I gotta have something to look forward to.
At work. Can’t watch. Need updates.
9 minutes in, getting outshot 5-12, but not looking too bad.
We just had a decent PK then a good PP. Pearson-Carter-Toffoli is looking good.
Brown on top line?
Yup. Pretty sure he assisted on Gabby’s goal.
Puck batted out of ____ing mid air. 1-1 at the end of 1.
Richards on the PP, jamming it in!
Never mind, it was Williams!
____. And then Nieto off of a bumbling Martinez. 2-2 with 10 minutes left in the second.
Please Kings. Please.
I got two words for you. And they both start with T.
We need to clobber them. No mercy.
Expect them to go out with a vengeance in the 3rd. This game is closer than the score. Gonna be a wild last frame.
Marian ____ing Gaborik. Marian ____ing Gaborik. Make it 5-2 b_____s.
Pavelski makes it 5-3. About 4 minutes left. Biting the s___ out of my nails right now.
Brown ices it. 6-3.
This made Robin’s entire year.
